Jing Ping is the local roots music in Dominica, the Nature Island of the Caribbean.
Filmed with a small sony camera before the Arawak House of Culture in Roseau on Creole Day octobre 29th 2010. Creole Day celebrates Dominica's independence from England since 1978. On Creole Day everyone in Dominica is dressed in colorful and folkloristic clothing.
How wonderful to learn more about Dominica. We have made Dominica our
adopted home and want to keep learning about this beautiful island, the
people and culture. This music shares similarities with Creole and could
