It is nice to see the thriving descendents of the Caribs that Columbus was
    not able to exterminate.

  8. The look to have been admixed with slave blood.

  11. thriving? >_> 3 thousand is not thriving. it is barely surviving and could
go extinct. They already look genetically compromised with a large dose of
    african blood. : /

  13. Clearly there is a difference between the native Indigenous culture of
Dominica and the imported African culture and African people on the island.
How do the original native peoples fare in the political climate of the
Island? Are there native Indigenous schools? etc seeing as the islands
original native peoples the Kalinago are still very much alive. s thier
    culturem,,people and beliefs respected.

  14. yes i Love it

I can say that I am part of carib blood, because my mom is half carib and
her mom came from the carib reserve. I travel with my singing name
“D’CARIB”, representing my background down the line.

  17. They were not cannibals! It is a big lie, which was fabricated by Columbus
and the Spanish to justify their killing! Just think about it, why should
they eat humans? They have many good things to eat on those Islands! They
never use human meat as a staple food! Only in war, they cut some part of
their slain enemies and maybe eat! It was in accordance within their
ancient warrior tradition, which their chief allowed them. It is documented
in many wars even in Europe and elshewere! You should read a relevant
literature about their history, such as: Wild Majesty written by Hulme.

  18. Caribs are a beautiful and good looking people with a unique culture which
they preserved over thousands of years!

  19. It is really a tragical faith what happened to them! They had been nearly
exterminated, which are close to genocide! Every human being must left
    their trace on this earth!
